In our gARTen, a year-round oasis of peace and relaxation, the arrival of Advent brings a warm and contemplative pre-Christmas atmosphere.
Mr. Mayrhofer senior crafted a charming little punch hut from the timber of the hotel’s old roof structure – long before “upcycling” became a trend. Ms. Mayrhofer senior bakes traditional gingerbread and, together with our team, prepares delicious Christmas punch.
Twice a week, every Wednesday and Friday, from 27 November to 23 December 2026, we invite our guests to enjoy a cup of punch – or, as we say in Vienna, a Häferl of Punsch.

A Warm Heart in the Cold Season:
On 10 December 2026, we’ll transform our beautifully illuminated gARTen at Hotel Der Wilhelmshof in Vienna into a charming charity punch hut, filled with festive cheer and the spirit of giving. Enjoy homemade Christmas punch, delicious sweet treats and a magical Christmas atmosphere while helping us raise funds for the Biwak Laaerberg children’s residential community.

Do I need to register?
No, our charity punch event is open to everyone. Simply drop by and join us!
How can I donate?
You can donate by purchasing a cup of punch or by making a voluntary donation directly at the event. 100% of the proceeds will go to the children’s residential community.
Does the event take place in bad weather, too?
Yes, our punch hut is prepared for all weather conditions.
Is parking available on-site?
Yes, limited parking is available around Hotel Der Wilhelmshof.
